Miss Allen County 2009 Kirsten Fletter Places 2nd Runner-up Miss Indiana State Fair!

We are so proud of you Kirsten! Our Miss Allen County 2009, Kirsten Fletter was named 2nd Runner-up at the Miss Indiana State Fair Queen Pageant that was held Sunday, August 23rd at the Indiana State Fair. Kirsten competed against 88 other county Queen's and sure made Allen County proud!

Kate visits the Fort Wayne Lutheran Children's Hospital

Last week, Kate visited the Fort Wayne Lutheran Children's Hospital and put smiles on all of their faces as she played, read, and just spent time with the children. Kate said it was a very rewarding experience and was happy to bring joy to their day.

Extended Deadline

We have extended the deadline for those that would still like to participate in the pageant this year. You can email or call me for more details. Also, we have added a lot of new sponsors this year and the prizes are getting bigger. We have Vera Bradley purses, a diamond crown ring from Freeman Jewelry, a 3-month membership to Spiece Fitness, Gift Certificates to local restaurants, and well a $1000 scholarship!

Chick-fil-a Fundraiser

Huntertown Elementary

Kate with a class at Huntertown Elementary. Kate when and hung out with the class and read a couple books with them. You can tell all the girls had a great time...and I am sure some of the boys too!

Chick-fil-a Spirit Night Fundraiser

Who is hungry on a Tuesday night? Everyone silly! So why don't you come out to the Chick-fil-a at Jefferson Pointe on June 23rd from 5-7pm! 15% off all proceeds will be donated to the Miss Allen County Scholarship Fund. Miss Allen County 2008 Kate Taylor will also be on hand to hang out and visit. It's an easy way for us to raise much needed money for the scholarship fund and it is easy for you as well...all you need to do is let people know and then come and get your eat on!

Reminder: Entry Forms are Due June 24th

I just wanted to remind everyone that entry forms are due by June 24th in order to not have to pay the late fee. I am excited for the pageant and hope we have a great turn out. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me!

Miss Allen County 2009

Miss Allen County 2009 will be July 19th, 2009. Doors will open at 5:30pm with the pageant started at 6:00pm. It will be held at the First Presbyterian Church Theater at 300 West Wayne Street, Fort Wayne IN. The Entry fee is only $5 and patrons can stay parked after the event to watch the Three Rivers Festival Fireworks.

Kate was the celebrity guest at the Komets game on January 9th, 2009. Here she is pictured with here mom before the game. Next you see Kate dropping the puck at the start of the game. Kate was also able to sign autographs for admiring girls during the half time.

Kate was on HOT 107.9 promoting the Komets game and of course the Allen County Fair. She had a great time at the radio station and said it was a blast to be on the radio!
